I am broadly interested in aquatic ecology, with a focus on dispersal ecology of freshwater stream fishes. I have a B.S. and M.S. in Environmental Science and Management from Duquesne University. My PhD is in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Texas A&M and is focuses on the "Spatial Ecology of Great Plains Fishes." My research uses movement data to test stream theories and build ecological niche/species distribution models to determine what variables are correlated with their habitat preferences and distributions along the riverscape. At Ohio State, I teach Stream Ecology, Capstone courses, and Taxonomy and Behavior of Aquatic Invertebrates within the School of Environment and Natural Resources.
